Consider Covey’s concept of roles.  We all carry many responsibilities on our shoulders and we all typically must perform in many different contexts.  I am husband to Kim and father to Maggie and Will.  To provide for them, I am an employee.  I always strive to improve my station in life, so as to improve the quality that my family can enjoy.  To that end, I am a student.  My formal education is complete (at least for now), but I am always interested in learning something new.  I am a voracious consumer of new information and experiences.  I recognize, however, that the application is where learning really occurs.  I hope to capitalize and internalize something from every experience in which I am blessed to participate.

I feel the same way spiritually.  We are here to learn and grow and improve ourselves.  I recognize who I am as well as who you are in relation to me.  We all have divine potential.  You can learn more of my beliefs here.

I also enjoy working on our historic home in Greenfield, IN.  It is a symbol of my life–it’s fairly nice, but there is a lot to learn and a lot of work to be done.
